Factors to Consider
May assist users who have arthritis in fingers and thumb joints to pull up compression stockings.
May reduce dragging of stocking over wound dressings or fragile skin.
The manufacturer advises that It may help to use non slip gloves while pulling on compression stockings, such as Ancell Hiflex gloves available at supermarkets.

Short Description
An Australian made compression stocking aid that consists of a semi circular plastic frame onto which a compression stocking may be placed. The frame holds the compression stocking open and assists the user to place the stocking on their leg whilst in a seated position. Can be used for upper limbs and with open or closed toe compression stockings. Pull up handles are also available. Available in three sizes.

Large (calf circumference 38-47cm).
Medium (calf circumference 32-40cm).
Small (calf circumference 28-35cm).

Method Of Use
Method of Use
1. Place stocking over central curved section.
2. Pull the top of the stocking over the applicator and slide it down the sides.
3. Continue to slide the stocking onto the applicator.
4. Stop when the placement of the heel is slightly over the top and in the center of the curved U-section.
5. Be seated.
6. While seated, place the applicator over your toes. Hold the heel pocket as your toes enter the stocking.
7. Release the heal pocket of the stocking when it is in line with your heel.
8. Continue moving the applicator over your foot and your heel will slide into the elongated hole as the applicator changes direction around your ankle.
9. Gently pull the applicator upwards towards your knee.
10. The applicator is then removed when free of the stocking.
