Telephone Advisory Service:
Ring, fax or email with your questions about assistive equipment and technology, home modifications and other resources. Advice is provided by occupational therapists. Information can be sent to you by mail, fax or email, or provided over the phone.

Centre Display:
View and try a range of assistive equipment and technology at the centre in Launceston. Appointments are preferred to ensure an occupational therapist is available to help you. Group tours are welcome by appointment; a fee may apply.

ILC-Tech:
ILC-Tech is ILC Tasmania's programme of assisitve technology for environmental control, communication and computer access. This is available to people living in the North and North West of Tasmania.

A speech pathologist and occupational therapist provide the following services:

  • Information and advice on assistive technology for environmental control, communication and computer access
  • Assessment and prescription of such assistive technology
  • Training and support for prescribed technology
  • A library of equipment and software
  • Education sessions
  • Regular visits throughout the North and North West of Tasmania.

Mobile Outreach Service:
The Mobile Outreach Service (MOS) holds equipment displays at events around the state, including King and Flinders Islands. A guest talk can also be booked for groups about assistive equipment and technology, and to demonstrate how to use them. A fee may apply in some cases.

Second-hand Register:
The second-hand register contains items of equipment offered for sale by members of the public. It may include personal care items, wheelchairs (manual and powered), scooters, chairs, walking aids, ramps, hoists, transport equipment and beds. The ILC does not sell, view or handle the products on the second-hand register.

Publications:
The Contact is a quarterly resource manual that features information and advice about specific types of equipment. A yearly subscription is available or single issues

Reference Library:
A small reference library of books, magazines and videos is available for viewing at the centre.
