Zippie

Short Description
American made wheelchairs for children with an anodised aluminium frame and a solid seat and backrest. Both models adjust in seat width, seat depth, footrest height, backrest height and wheel position. The Zippie GS is available in a folding or rigid frame and rear wheel drive, front wheel drive or transit options. The Zippie TS is a rigid frame wheelchair available in rear wheel drive or transit options and features tilt in space.

Features
All Zippie wheelchair models are compatible with a variety of seating systems and drop seats.
Zippie GS has a reversible drive wheel configuration to enable it to convert from a rear wheel drive to a front wheel drive wheelchair.
Zippie TS features 45 degrees of tilt in space

Seat
Seat width is adjusted on the Zippie GS rigid frame and the Zippie TS using adjustable strut tubes.
Seat width is adjusted on the cross bar of the Zippie GS folding wheelchair. Three folding frame sizes are available and three seat widths can be selected within each frame size. The small frame adjusts to 255mm, 280mm and 305mm, the regular frame adjusts to 305mm, 330mm and 355mm and the large frame adjusts to 355mm, 380mm and 405mm.
Seat depth adjustment on all models can be made by selecting the multiple mounting points for the backrest along the seat frame. Three frame sizes are available which allow adjustment between 255mm and 355mm for the short frame, 305mm and 405mm for the regular frame, and 305mm and 455mm for the long frame.
Seat depth can be customised if required.

Backrest
A height adjustable backrest is provided as standard with all models and is available in three sizes. The low backrest adjusts from 280mm to 355mm, the medium backrest adjusts from 305mm to 405mm, and the tall backrest adjusts from 305mm to 455mm.

Drive Wheels
Mag or spoke wheels are available.
Pneumatic, pneumatic with airless inserts, polyurethane or high pressure tyres are available.
Aluminium push rims are standard.
Plastic coated hand rims are available or hand rims with vertical or oblique projections.

Castors
A range of castors are available including pneumatic, semi pneumatic and polyurethane castors. Diameter ranges from 125mm to 205mm and a range of thicknesses are available.

Armrests
Flip up, height adjustable or locking flip up armrests are available.

Footrests
Swing away, removable footrests with flip up footplates are standard.
Standard footplates are angle adjustable, between 70 and 90 degrees.
A calf strap is standard.
Heel loops available.
A footboard with a leg strap is available as an option.
Footrest extensions are also available.

Brakes
High push, high pull and 150mm brake extensions are available.

Push Handles
Stroller handles are provided as standard on all models.
Swing away, height adjustable and removable push handles are available.
