SHORT DESCRIPTION
The flashID Emergency Identification Device is a USB device designed to be carried on the user. It can be attached to a key ring, on a chain or lanyard around the neck or carried in a pocket, purse or handbag. Coloured the internationally recognised emergency green, it has a white cross for immediate identification by emergency services workers. The device comes with a pre-loaded Microsoft™ Word document, which is completed by the user. It has provision for a photograph and includes instructions to guard against tampering.

FEATURES
The identification data is carried in a Microsoft™ Word document which comes pre-loaded on the device, and which is then completed by the owner. This document is easily completed, has provision for a photograph of the owner and includes instructions to guard against tampering.
Data carried: holder’s photograph, personal information, Medicare number, medical insurance, allergies, blood group, current medication, existing medical conditions, organ donor details, general practitioner, specialist(s), next of kin (4 spaces), extra information.
The precise amount of information disclosed in the document is determined solely by what the device’s owner feels comfortable providing.
Once the document has been completed and saved, all that is necessary is for the device to be plugged into a computer in the emergency vehicle or in a hospital computer; information is immediately available in a standardised document.
The flashID™ Emergency Identification Device™ can be read on any computer running the Windows 98 operating system or above and equipped with a USB port.
For those using Windows 98™, it is necessary to install a driver, which can be downloaded from the Downloads page on the website www.flashid.org/AU , which has available the drivers and other useful tools.
