SHORT DESCRIPTION
A telephone based emergency call system, which allows people to summon help in an emergency. The system uses a Tunstall Premier 4000 or Premier 1000 receiver, which is positioned beside the existing telephone and is activated by pressing a button on a water resistant pendant, wrist band, clothing clip or on the unit itself. Other triggers are available for people with special needs. Silver Circle Home Alert also provides reminder and companion calls, a fall detector, a movement monitor and a smoke detector as separate services.

FEATURES
Transmitter Unit:
The user is required to wear a pendant, wristband or clothing clip.
The transmitter unit is waterproof and is designed to be worn in wet areas including the shower.
To activate an alarm the user is required to press a button on the pendant, wristband or clothing clip.
A monitoring station receives the alarm and will begin to contact nominated people as prearranged by the user

Receiver Unit:
The receiver unit is a separate unit, which is positioned beside the telephone.
The receiver unit plugs into the existing telephone system and a power point.
The receiver unit has a back up battery housed within the unit, which keeps the system operational in case of a power failure.
The receiver unit has a red button, which can be pushed to activate the system and send an alarm.
The red button on the receiver unit will light up when the unit is activated and sends an alarm.
If an alarm has been accidentally sent the green button on the receiver unit can be pressed to cancel the alarm.
Once the alarm has been received at the monitoring station, staff can attempt to make contact with the individual via the two-way voice communication feature (hands free), which is inbuilt within the unit. The range available on the two-way voice communication varies according to building structures and house design.

Monitoring Options:
Upon activation the alarm is sent to an external monitoring station.
The monitoring station is staffed by Silver Circle Home Alert staff.
Staff at the monitoring station will attempt to make contact with the individual via the two-way talk back feature (hands free) and attempt to establish if the individual requires assistance.
If the staff at the monitoring station are unable to obtain a response from the individual, or the individual indicates that they require assistance the staff contact nominated people as prearranged.
Some monitoring services offer daily calls to allow users to indicate that everything is all right.

Installation:
A mode 3 or a mode 5 socket can be installed with the system to override any additional extensions being used when the alarm is activated.
A mode 3 or mode 5 socket allows the system to operate in the eventuality that a phone is off the hook.
A licensed technician can install a mode 3 or mode 5 sockets.

Method of Use:
The user is required to wear the water resistant pendant, wristband or clothing clip at all times.
When required the user presses the button on the pendant, wristband or clothing clip to activate the alert that they need assistance.
An external monitoring station will receive the alert.
Staff at the monitoring station will attempt to make contact by talking through the phone.
If required nominated contacts may arrive at the house to offer assistance.

Options:
The system can be programmed to accommodate other alarms including inactivity sensors, smoke detectors and fall detectors.
