Factors to Consider
Suitable for a user who cannot bend to their feet due to poor trunk control or reduced range of movement in their lower limbs.
Short Description
A contoured stocking aid with pink smooth material on the internal side of the aid, that has a satin ribbon along its length to assist the foot to slide through. Green towelling material on the outer side prevents the sock from slipping off. A red and a green length of webbing with stitched increments to form loops are attached to the heel edge of the aid. A clip is attached to each length to secure the stocking.

Method Of Use
Method of Use
1. Hold the stocking aid with the slippery side towards you.
2. Fold the two outside sections over the middle heel section.
3. The towelling is on the outside.
4. Pull the sock approximately halfway onto the aid ensuring heel is in the centre of the middle heel section.
5. Fold the stocking back on itself, holding the foot part of the aid.
6. Fold the stocking back again over itself, still holding the foot part back in position.
7. Fold over the top of the stocking to make it thicker and attach the clips on either side.
8. Put your hand inside the slider on top of the satin ribbon to open it wider.
9. Use an enclosed fist to increase the size.
10. After removing your hand ensure the ribbon is not twisted.
11. Use the tapes to lower the aid to the ground.
12. Put your toes onto the slip tape and push your foot into the aid.
13. Pull the tapes to pull the stocking aid off the foot and up the calf until the clips can be reached and undone.
14. Remove the slider and continue pulling until all of the ribbon is released.
15. Continue to pull the stocking up the leg by hand.
