Short Description
A trailer style carrier which has a fold-down ramp and is attached to the vehicle towbar. It is designed to accommodate scooters and electric wheelchairs.

Features
This steel frame carrier attaches to the vehicle via the towbar, and has a single wheel at the centre rear.

The carrier tilts to the side for loading via a ramp which can be locked into the required position. The ramp then folds up to form one side of the carrier.

While being towed the carrier is locked from side to side movement to allow for reversing and parking without the problems associated with steering a trailer. At the same time the hinge system allows for up and down movement to conform with road variations.

The carrier is designed with a number of positions for tying the load. Additional tie down points may be added to suit specific scooters/wheelchairs. A safety locking system allows for a padlock to be used that will secure both carrier and load.

Two basic sizes of carrier are available to accept loads up to 1300mm and 1500mm long. Special sizes can be ordered.

Method Of Use
1. Pull out 'T' handle to unlock lever and lower ramp
2. Hold the bed horizontal until ramp is fully down
3. Tilt the carrier bed and ramp to the ground
4. Load, by backing the wheelchair / scooter in (so that the back wheel pushes the carrier bed back into the horizontal position)
5. Pull lever to raise ramp. Lock lever down with the T handle.
6. Tie down using the supplied ratchet tie down
7. Reverse the above to unload

Caution
Handling of the tow vehicle is compromised when towing the carrier empty.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
In the State of South Australia this item is required to be registered as a trailer. Check with local motor registration office for state requirements.
