Short Description
A two piece transfer aid for assisting people to get in and out of the car. It consists of a stitched, shaped pad with a slippery material underside and two padded handles. This pad is used in conjunction with a flat nylon mat.

Features
The transfer wedge is medium density foam covered in a strong nylon material with the opening fastened with hook and loop tape. The transfer mat is a flat, stitched section of low resistance nylon material. The pad is thin foam covered with slippery nylon material on one side and quilted cotton on the other. Handles are made of nylon webbing encased in neoprene.
The Translide system can be used for several applications.
1. For people experiencing difficulty twisting to get out of a car seat, sitting directly on the pad on the flat transfer mat allows the rotation movement to occur with minimal resistance.
2. For people who can perform a stand transfer with an assistant, the handles on the pad provide a point for the assistant to hold onto as they bring the person up to standing and to help with repositioning whilst in the car.
3. For dependent people using a sliding board to transfer from car to wheelchair, the pad and transfer mat facilitate the positioning of the board and the movement of the person across the board by an assistant.
The wedge shaped pad is designed to reduce the degree of slope of the car seat, while the slippery surface on top of the wedge and under the pad assists the occupant in moving into the desired position.
The wedge is available in two sizes and has a removable cover.
