Factors to Consider

Short Description
The Huntleigh range of cushions includes a range of comfort and pressure reduction cushions. These include the Vaperm which is made up of two densities of foam and a water resistant cover, the Unidown cushion, which is filled with polyester hollow fibre and is covered in Dartex and the Aura, an alternating air, pressure reduction cushion made up of nine alternating cells.

Vaperm cushion
The Vaperm is a comfort cushion made up of two densities of foam and is designed for people at low risk of developing pressure sores.
The high density foam may assist the cushion in preventing bottoming out and also assists in durability. The foam is also CFC free, fire retardant and contains an anti bacterial agent.
The Dartex cover is water resistant and has a two way stretch for comfort and maximal comformity to the cushion.
Unidown cushion
The Unidown cushion is a comfort cushion filled with a polyester hollow fibre.
The fibre is resistive to flattening and clumping after excessive laundering and use.
A backrest and armrest cover are also available.
Provided with a cotton cover which is Proban treated for fire retardancy and can be covered in Dartex as an option. Both are low friction fabrics.
The cushions are constructed so that internal seams are carefully positioned to minimise the likelihood of creating pressure points.
The inner fibres are held in place in individual gussets.
Aura
The Aura is a pressure reduction cushion with nine fully alternating cells which inflate and deflate.
Designed for people at high risk of developing pressure sores or with existing sores in the seating area.
Modular construction which allows individual replacement of parts.
Alarms to alert the user or carer of power failure (audible and visual), low pressure (audible and visual), and power indicator. Integral battery backup for alarms.
The pump is lightweight and compact, and is housed in a tough, durable casing. Connections to tubes are secured by snap lock connectors.
Provided with a water resistant, vapour permeable, two way stretch cover. It is removable for cleaning and contains an antibacterial (Actifresh).
The cells are made from polyurethane and the top cover material is polyurethane knitted fabric.
