Features
This car has been converted, adding a spacious cabin area onto the back for carrying wheelchair passengers. The cabin can accommodate two additional optional rear passenger seats, allowing the wheelchair user to share the journey with up to four companions.

The cabin has two large rear doors that swing open and a ramp that folds down out of the back for boarding the vehicle without the wheelchair or user needing to be lifted or transferred. The ramp has a slip-resistant surface and side gutters.

The Freewheeler design uses a chair locking system which involves electric front restraints that are connected outside of the vehicle, which lock in place when the chair stops in the cabin. Rear restraints and a lap/sash belt are then connected to ensure that the wheelchair and the passenger are both securely fixed for travel.

The cabin has a lowered floor height to allow ample headroom for rear wheelchair passengers. Large tinted windows on each side of the cabin, including across the front, allow the wheelchair passenger an all round view.

Standard emergency equipment located in the cabin includes a fire extinguisher.
