Short Description
A portable voice amplifier that assists with the projection of voice. May be used with a headset microphone or a "transdermal" microphone worn around the neck like a collar.

More Details
The amplifier comes with two microphones; a head-set with a boom microphone, and a transdermal microphone. The transdermal microphone is worn around the neck like a collar so the user may move freely without having to wear a headband.
The amplifier may also be used to conduct swallowing assessments by trained health professionals as it amplifies swallowing sounds. It is possible to record speech or swallowing sounds by connecting the device to a tape recorder (or other recording device). This requires a 3.5mm stereo plug and an output cable (available from electronics stores).
The EchoVoice EV4 is supplied with a transdermal microphone, headband type boom microphone and headphones for private conversations.
The device is powered by four AA rechargeable batteries. It is supplied with a battery charger. Operating time is approximately 8 hours.
Options
An optional patch lead is available for line input, which allows the user to listen to audio signals through the speaker or headphones.
