Alarm Unit

Short Description
A range of pressure sensor devices designed to alert carers via an alarm unit that the user is getting out of the chair, wheelchair or bed. A range of models are available.

Price Guide
Refer to supplier information for pricing details.

More Details
The system consists of a range of pressure sensors which can be placed under a mattress or seat, on a seatbelt, or on a wheelchair seat. While the user's weight is on the sensor or the seatbelt buckle is clasped, it is not activated. As soon as the user moves off the sensor or releases the seatbelt buckle, an alarm tone is activated.

Five alarm tones are available. Alarm units can be placed with the user and in the carer's location. The alarm volume can be adjusted with a sound dampening plug.

A recessed on/off switch enables the alarm to be turned off during transfers, and deters the user from tampering with the alarm.
