A Guide To Selecting Slip Resistant Stair Treads

ILC Reference NO 81:73:900
Item sourced from ILC WA database

Short Description
Steps and stairs are potentially dangerous to negotiate; the addition of an slip resistant stair tread makes the possibility of feet slipping off the edge of the stair less likely. Stair treads are divided into two types: capping (edge of step) and nosing (most or all of step); a contrasting colour in the capping or nosing also assists general safety.
