Short Description
Speech recognition computer software packages that allow input of text via `continuous speech`. All editions enable direct dictation into Naturally Speaking`s integrated VoicePad as well as a range of Windows-based applications including Microsoft Word 97/2000 and Corel WordPerfect 8/9. Features include Select-and-Say Editing, Desktop Control, Dictation Playback and Text-to-Speech, Multiple User Support and Natural Web for web browsing and email support.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Pentium III with 128 MB Ram (256 MB recommended when multi-tasking with other applications) and Sound Card (Sound Blaster PCI - 128 or 64 recommended). Speakers required for multimedia `Help` system and dictation playback and text-to-speech features. 240 MB+ hard disk required. Check at time of purchase as system requirements change regularly in line with software developments.
CONTENTS:The product comprises software including user tutorial, headset microphone and manual.
FEATURES: Continuous speech, large vocabulary (160 000 word active & 250 000 plus word back up dictionary), new word training by saying and spelling, natural spelling (text is spelt with names of alphabet i.e.`a`, `d`, `t` as compared to alpha-word names i.e.`alpha`, `delta`, `tango`), Select-and-say editing and correcting (preface word/phrase/paragraph with command `Select` to allow editing or reformatting). Dictation playback of content as it appears on the screen and text-to-speech capabilities of dictated text (Elan Informatique speech synthesis - male,french/english accent) to allow documents to be read aloud. The PROFESSIONAL EDITION allows you to create Macros for automating tasks and entering template text (eg letter close) into documents.
CUSTOMISED FEATURES: Less common words can be retrieved from the 250,000+ word back-up dictionary. New words can be added automatically by the Vocabulary Builder tool which searches your documents for the words you use most often. New words can also be added simply by saying them and spelling them once.
