Short Description
A number of software programs with overlays that have been designed for use with the Intellikeys keyboard. It can be used with Macintosh and PC compatible computers and features activities that provide learners with opportunities to explore early number, colour concepts and early literacy. The overlays have been designed to work with the 12 hole keyguard. Can be customised.

FEATURES: - Interactive Learning activities that focus on the skills of matching, counting and recognising colours;
- A writing activity gives the learner opportunities to sequence words to create their own stories;
- A variety of non-computer curriculum ideas and resources to enhance the learning environment is also included. Also includes Intellipics Player and Overlay Sender
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Packaged as a combined Windows and Mac version in CD-Rom format. Intellitalk talking word processor software is required to access the Intellitalk overlay file that includes special speech commands for reading the text.
METHOD OF USE: (1) Intellikeys keyboard using overlays;
(2) Mouse;
(3) Dedicated scanning using the mouse button, a switch adapted mouse to emulate the mouse button, keyboard keys such as the space bar;
(4) Switch access via the 2 intellikeys switch ports: switch 1 will play the story, Switch 2 will repeat the last item played.
CUSTOMISED FEATURES: Additional overlays are available within the software and they can be printed in colour and B&W; formats. These overlays focus on only one activity at a time - colour, counting or subtraction. The on-screen palettes can also be adjusted to reduce distractible items.
