Short Description
A display vehicle located on site at the Independent Living Centre. The vehicle is used to display a range of equipment designed to assist drivers. The equipment is displayed in a 'life like' manner, enabling it to be seen in context and trialed in a simulated situation.

The transport module can be viewed / trialed at the Independent Living Centre by making an appointment through the ILC's Enquiry Line. Appointments are conducted with an ILC Occupational Therapist. This service is available to all, when an appointment is made.

Spinmaster (PME)

Mushroom shape spinner. Synthetic material with a powder coated clamp. Available in a range of colours. Does not restrict air bag function.
Infra Red Controls with Steering Ball (Lodgesons)

Designed for a driver who has the use of one hand to drive. Includes the key pad control (choice of up to 12 functions) which is mounted with a steering ball. Available in left or right model. Has a quick release feature. Display model has 9 functions.
Twist Grip Accelerator with Indicator Switch (Reben)

Accelerating device located next to the steering wheel. Vehicle acceleration is controlled by a twisting action of the hand control.
Left Foot Accelerator (TL Engineering)

Designed to suit most vehicles and includes a right accelerator guard. Can be slid out to remove.
STO 'n' GO

Roof mounted wheelchair hoist designed to lift and stow a folded manual wheelchair onto a standard roof rack. Powered from the vehicle battery and operated by a switch located inside the vehicle.
Scoota Caddy (TL Engineering)

Trailer style scooter and wheelchair carrier which is mounted to the rear tow bar of a vehicle. A ramp folds down which allows the scooter / powered wheelchair to be loaded onto the carrier. Secured with straps / tie downs.
