Short Description
A safety harness made from seat belt webbing, which is for children transported in a standard trolley stretcher. It has six adjustable straps with quick release buckles that anchor the restraint to the stretcher frame and could therefore suit a multi user situation if required. The harness is attached directly to the stretcher and not the vehicle.

Designed to safely restrain a child up to four years old or 15kg in a complete harness onto a stretcher frame. The restraint consists of a base sheet of synthetic material onto which the child lies. The child is secured into the restraint by a harness which has shoulder straps, waist straps and a crotch strap. The crotch strap and shoulder straps are fixed to the restraint (synthetic sheet), the crotch strap attaches centrally to the harness via a quick release buckle, and the waist straps secure to the restraint by two buckles, one on each side of the child's waist. The harness straps are length adjustable, ensuring a firm fit on the child.
Six additional adjustable length straps, each with a quick release buckle, wrap around and under the stretcher frame, securing the restraint to the stretcher frame.
Manufactured from colourful and washable synthetic fabrics. The restraint rolls up when not in use (protecting the straps at the same time).

Licence & Insurance Requirements
In Western Australia, Transport's Vehicle Examiners, (Licensing Division) must approve modifications to vehicles, including installation of seat belts and harnesses. Providing the modifications meet all requirements, a modification permit will be issued and the cost of the permit may be waived for passengers or drivers with disabilities.
To ensure Insurance cover, the vehicle owner should advise their Insurance company of the approved vehicle modifications.
