Short Description
A series of electrically operated, steel frame, vehicle mounted wheelchair lifts suitable for commercial use. Designed to lift a person seated in a wheelchair into and out of a commercial vehicle.

These vehicle mounted lifters have a steel mesh, skid resistant platform with side edges and an automatic front edge rollstop which locks into the "up" position before the lift will raise or lower. When the lift stops moving, the rollstop folds down to form a ramp for getting on and off the platform. The boundaries of the platform are powder coated yellow to make the loading zone easy to see.
Hand rails extend from the framework for user security.
The lift is raised / lowered and folded / unfolded using a hand held control with colour coded switches.
The lift has a larger range of lift height than other models and therefore can be used for a variety of current commercial vehicles.
Features
SAFETY FEATURES 200mm(8"), over activated 'roll stop' ie safety plate closes automatically at the rear of the platform when the lifter is in use. Hydraulic manual back up system. Yellow demarcation of platform boundaries. Hand rails are standard on all models.
CONTROLS 'Rocker Switch' type buttons control the up, down movements and folding mechanisms of the wheelchair lifter.
OPERATION The folding and unfolding of the platform is activated by hand held controls.
Additional Information
A wheelchair and occupant restraint must be installed when transporting a person in a wheelchair.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
In Western Australia, Transport's Vehicle Examiners (Licensing Division) must approve modifications to vehicles, including installation of hoists. Providing the modifications meet all requirements, a modification permit will be issued and the cost of the permit may be waived for passengers and drivers with disabilities.
To ensure Insurance cover, the vehicle owner should advise their Insurance company of the approved vehicle modifications.
