Short Description
A modification to the hand brake and automatic gear selector of a vehicle. The device consists of a clamp at the end of the hand brake lever or the automatic gear selector that, through the use of an attached lever, presses the button required. Idea only.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
In Western Australia, Transport's Vehicle Examiners, (Licensing Division) must approve modifications to vehicles. Providing the modifications meet all requirements, a modification permit will be issued and the cost of the permit may be waived for drivers with disabilities.
Drivers of the modified vehicles must have their Driver's Licence endorsed with a conditional code stating the necessary vehicle modification needed by the driver with a disability.
To ensure Insurance cover, the vehicle owner should advise their Insurance company of the approved vehicle modifications, and the endorsed Driver's Licence where the modifications are for the driver with a disability.
