The stairlift consists of a steel tube track mounted onto the stair tread beside the wall. It features a self lockable worm gear drive mechanism.
A chair is mounted on the track and the person sits sideways to move up and down the stairs, with control buttons on the armrest and at either end of the stairs.
The stairlift features a padded and upholstered seat which folds up and swivels 45 and 90 degrees at the top and bottom landing. The seat has armrests that are adjustable in width and swing out to allow easier entry and exit from the seat. A footrest folds out when in use.
A retractable safety belt is included.
Top quality American made stairlift at a very reasonable price. Fits any flight of stairs that is 5 metres or less in length (with a further 2 metres option), provided the width is adequate. Features
CONTROLS Push button controls are mounted on the chair's armrest and at either end of the stairs.
SPEED can be set at installation. It also has soft start electronic controller that can be adjusted for both the speed of the elevator and the weight of the passenger.
POWER SOURCE The stairlift is powered from two 12volt sealed batteries.
BATTERY RECHARGING The batteries are continuously charged by a charger that plugs into a standard power point.
SAFETY FEATURES Safety sensors in the footrest automatically stop the movement of the stairlift if it meets an obstruction. Battery power enables the stairlift to operate, even if there is an interruption in electrical service to the home or building.
FOLDING the seat up is spring strut assisted, released with a lever under the seat. The footrest also folds up.

ELECTRA-RIDE II suitable for straight, indoor stairways only.
ELECTRA-RIDE III suitable for straight and curved indoor stairways.
COMMERCIAL PACKAGE is available for public building applications.
CURVED UNIT
This unit has all the advantages of the Straight Stairlift but can be fitted to almost any curved or two section staircase. It can even be fitted with a curved return for parking at the top or bottom to ensure that the unit is out of sight. Can be fitted to the outside or inside of any curve or corner or multiples of corners.
