Short Description
A rear wheel drive, rigid framed, manual or battery powered wheelchair designed for children. Manufactured from mild steel with powder coated finish. It features adjustable backrest angle, adjustable armrest height, adjustable footplate height and angle and adjustable seat width, depth, angle and height. The seat is removable and can be transferred from a manual base to powered base. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. A range of options and accessories is available. The chair can be customised for individual need.

The wheelchair can be configured as either a manual or powered chair. The manual base can be converted to a power base at a later time. The seat is removable and can be transferred between the manual and power base.
Features manual tilt in space or alternatively it can be fitted with a power tilt in space as an option.
The seat frame and base frame include tie down points for transportation in a vehicle.
The seat design allows adjustment to seat width, depth, angle and height. It accepts a wide range of custom and commercially made seating systems. The standard seat is padded and upholstered.
The controller is programmable and features flush on / off and mode switches, proportional joystick, battery charge level indicator, speed control, powered tilt in space (when installed) and warning horn. The controller unit also houses the battery charging point. An optional attendant control, which is programmable for speed, acceleration and turn rate, can be mounted on the rear of the chair. Option of other controllers include:
- split or unitary controllers
- tray controllers
- chin controllers.
The controller can be mounted on the left or right hand side.
The chair can be broken down for transportation. It has removable leg and armrests, fold forward backrest, and removable batteries.

CONTROLLER can be mounted on the left or right armrest.
BATTERIES The power base incorporates 2 individually removable, sealed battery boxes with carry straps. The motor can be disengaged and the chair free wheeled by turning levers, located next to each rear wheel, towards the middle of the chair.
SEAT: The seat is removable and can be transferred from a manual base to powered base. The seat design allows adjustment to seat width, depth, angle and height. It accepts a wide range of custom and commercially made seating systems and allows the use of a drop in seat cushion up to 50mm in height. The standard seat is padded and upholstered.
BACKREST can be folded forward to assist in transporting in a van or station wagon. The backrest is manually adjustable in angle, reclining from 90 degrees to 105 degrees
ARMRESTS are full length, padded, removable and height adjustable. They can also be lowered to go under tables. They can be adjusted from 180mm (7") above a standard 50mm seat cushion to a maximum of 320mm (12.5"). Armrests of a greater height range are available as an option. The armrest position is also adjustable along the side rails. They are adjustable from 140mm (5.5") from the front of the chair to a maximum of 260mm (10") (individual seating system permitting).
LEGRESTS are swing away and removable with length adjustment from 100mm (4") to 250mm (10") in increments of 25.4mm (1"). An extension of 75mm (3") can be added.
FOOTPLATES are 2 piece plastic. They can be adjusted for plantar and dorsiflexion and rotation. To allow for a vertical leg position and individual leg length, the footplate position can be moved in or out as required.
REAR WHEELS are 317mm(12.5") diameter, with 57mm(2.25") wide tread, pneumatic as standard.
FRONT WHEELS are 200mm(8") diameter, with 50mm(2") wide tread, solid rubber tyres as standard.
TILT IN SPACE Features manual tilt in space up to 30 to 40 degrees (depending on seat height) by a foot release lever. Alternatively it can be fitted with a power tilt in space as an option.
BRAKES are electromagnetic with additional manual parking brakes.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
A licence is not required for a rider in an exempt motor chair (electric wheelchair) which is limited to a maximum speed of 10km/h. The rider is considered a pedestrian and road rules apply as for pedestrians.
