The bowl has a hand grip to assist the carer, plus a lid. The lid is recessed to hold the spoon when not in use. The bowl and spoon colour changes gradually from green (a safe temperature) to yellow (too hot). Colour generally begins to change once the temperature reaches off-tepid but this change depends upon general conditions. The products should be kept out of direct sunlight to avoid fading. Designed to feed children.
