Factors to Consider
This bath system is modular so the various options could be added or removed if the users needs change.
· The height adjustable option can reduce the need for an attendant to bend while assisting the user to wash. This can reduce manual handling issues.
· The space under the bath can allow a mobile hoist to be used with this bath.
· The spa water jet option has raised sections on the base of the bath which may need to be considered if the user has pressure issues.
The Transfer Chair option allows a user to transfer into the chair away from the bathroom. This may be useful for those who need space to transfer but only have a small bathroom.
The knob to operate the plug is fit high on the bath to prevent bending and reaching by the user or attendant.
Short Description
A free standing, battery or electrically powered, height adjustable bath with an opening underneath for positioning the base of a mobile hoist. The height adjustment is done through a hand control and is mains or battery powered. A hand shower or standard tap are attached to the bath and water temperature is thermostatically controlled. Several options are available including fixed height, spa water jets, bath hoist attached to the bath, and lockable castors on the base to make it mobile.

Features
A knob at the top of the internal wall of the bath is used to seal and unseal the plug.
· The tap is positioned at the end corner of the bath. It is operated using a dial on the top of the bath.
· A soap holder is at the top of the end corner of the bath.
· The hand shower is fixed opposite to the taps projecting from the top of the bath. The hand piece is removable and has various spray options.
· Hand held controls to operate the height adjustable mechanism are on an extendable cord.
Plumbing
Two flexible hoses run from beneath the bath and can be screwed on to a hot and cold tap or water connection.
· The outlet has a flexible hose which can be placed over a shower trap to drain the water.
· This bath has a safety feature designed to prevent the hot water going above 43 degrees celcius.
Installation
The supplier recommends that if the unit is to be permanently installed, the unit should be hard wired to their specifications by an electrician to prevent issues with water and a powerpoint.
Options
Can be provided without the height adjustable mechanism so it remains fixed height.
· Spa water jets from under round projections on the base of the bath.
· The Transfer Chair Unit is a chair which attaches to a chassis of a mobile base for mobility away from the bath. The chair can be removed from the base and attaches to a frame which is mounted to the bath. This frame uses a battery powered hand control to lift the occupant, swivels them over the bath and lowers them into the bath.
· Lockable castors can be used to make the bath mobile when not in use.
· Shower and robe table which attaches to the bath uses hinges to lift up a joined change table.
