Factors to Consider
Points to Consider when Selecting a Garden Kneeler
Ability to be used as a stool and a kneeler.
Stability - especially for a user with the use of one hand. Some garden kneelers will remain stable if weight is put through just one handle. It is recommended to trial a kneeler for stability prior to purchase.
Width of handle, height and position for comfortable push up.
Strength in withstanding weight of heavy user.
Comfort and durability of padding for knees.
Comfort of handle grip.
Weight for lifting and transporting.
Grip of base on garden surfaces.
Ease of cleaning.
Potential for rust (aluminium and stainless steel preferable).
Water resistance ability.
Ability of the user to manipulate fastenings of knee pads (consider using roller skating knee pads as an alternative to gardening pads)

Safety / Maintenance
Refer to supplier / manufacturer manual or instructions for all safety and maintenance details.

Short Description
Garden kneelers with extended handles at the sides assist the user to push up from, and lower down to, the kneeling position. Some kneelers can be reversed to form a low stool. Low stools are useful while tending low garden beds, especially if kneeling is difficult or painful. Knee pads may also be useful for those experiencing knee joint pain or those gardening for extended periods of time.
