Factors to Consider
External switch hook-up jacks for activating electronics devices and appliances.
Speech can be recorded in any language to suit people from a non English speaking background.
The keyboard layout is set which may limit the use of the device by people with changing needs
Messages can be recorded easily for quick setup in busy classroom and other environments.
Reprogramming the devices will erase all previously recorded messages.
The device is robust and can withstand rough handling as it is made from durable, shatter proof plastic housing.
Sound quality of the device does not distort at high volume making it suitable to use outdoors and in areas with background noise.
Short Description
The Partner range of electronic communication devices have digitised (human recorded) speech output. There are three models - the Partner One, Partner Two and the Partner Four - all of which are single level message devices. The messages can be accessed directly or through the use of multiple switches. There is a total of 32 seconds recording time available on each device.

Digitised (human recorded) speech output. Models available with Light Emitting Diodes (LED's) with/without vibration feedback (Partner 4).
Visual display
Partner One has a 8 cm square message cell; Partner Two has 9cm square message cells while the Partner Four has smaller message cells.
LED's with/without vibration feedback are available on the Partner Four model to enhance message feedback.
External switch hook up jacks are available for activating electronic devices and appliances.
Accessing Options
Direct access (light touch membrane cells) or multiple switch input jacks can be used to access individual messages.
Memory
32 seconds of speech available on all models. On the Partner Two there is 16 seconds of speech per message and on the Partner Four there is 8 seconds of speech per message.
Symbol Systems
Photos and/or pictographs (such as those used in Boardmaker) can be used on the Partner devices.
Batteries and Charging
4 AA alkaline batteries required.
Colour/materials
Devices made of black impact resistant plastic that are shatterproof. The devices are lightweight and portable.
