SHORT DESCRIPTION
The GEWA Page Turner is an electronic page turner that enables the user to turn pages of most textbooks, magazines, paperbacks and books to 50mm thick. A rubber grip roller manipulates the pages forwards and backwards, continuously or singly. A variety of operating controls is available including switch, switch joystick, push button switch activation and infra red control through the GEWA PROG series.

FEATURES
Functions and use
A variety of controls, either multiple or single switch, are available to accommodate a wide range of physical abilities.
The user may be able to correct errors in turning, sticking or misaligned pages independently.
No adjustments are needed to set up for any size, texture or type of document.
Access
Multiple switch array
The user must be able to access switches by hand, foot, chin or pointing apparatus, or a single switch scanner for operation of the following 4 switches or via a PROG infra red remote control unit. Examples of compatible switches include:
Joystick (HK 4)
Pedal (FK 4F)
Pushbutton (FK 4H)
Slot control (CM 50 5A).
Single switch with visual scanner.
Scanning array consisting of 5 LEDs.
When the LED corresponding to the desired roller function illuminates, the user activates their switch.
Switch action can be either momentary (where operation continues as long as switch is activated) or latching (where switch is activated to commence function and reactivated to stop).
Power source
24 volt alternating current.
Suitable transformer supplied.
Accessories
The unit is complete with a built in tripod for table rest or can be clamped to an LB-2 overbed table (which provides up to 45 degrees of forward tilt).

CONSIDERATIONS FOR USE
The ability to turn pages in both directions allows error correction and increases independence of use.
It is possible to read in bed if the devcie is positioned on an overbed table.
Assistance may be required is to insert the book and to position the operating control.
Regular sized newspapers cannot be managed using this page turner.
