SHORT DESCRIPTION
An Australian made hydraulically operated mechanism that assists transfers onto and off a van bucket seat. The seat manually swivels ninety degrees, and then is powered using a push button switch mounted inside the van. This automatically slides the seat outside the van and lowers it to pavement level. It attaches under the existing car seat, or onto a retro fitted car seat which can replace a bench seat. A pull out footrest is situated under the seat and and is activated with another lever control. Designed for use with the Kia Carnival and Toyota Tarago. A mechanical lever operated model is also available.

Power
Driven from the vehicle battery so the ignition needs to be on to activate the powered seat.

Controls
Attendant operated, button style rocker switch located inside the rear door of the vehicle.

Other features
Able to be fitted into the middle row of seats of certain vans next to a sliding door. Currently, vans it can be fitted to are the Kia Carniva and Toyota Torago. Other models of van may be suitable for the Razor Back but supplier needs to be contacted to establish appropriate models.
� Footrest can swing under the seat to remove it as an obstacle.
� Seatbelt restrainer position is retained.

CONSIDERATIONS FOR USE
The foot support platform is not adjustable in depth, and users should ensure they can hold their feet in position on it. Users with difficulty bending their knees or hips may have difficulty with this.
The entire seat can sit outside the van to assist transfers.
� The entire seat can be moved out of the van to provide increased access to the rear row of seats, however hardware attached to the floor may cause a trip hazard.
Some ankle movement may be necessary to allow foot rotation to the left or right to clear the feet of the door opening as the seat rotates to ninety degrees
