SHORT DESCRIPTION
A floor mounted car hoist suitable for most 4 cylinder, 4WDs, most vans. It lifts an occupant in and out of a car or van on the passenger side, or via the rear or side doors of a van. The boom and spreader bar can be customised to suit different cars and individual requirements. A specialised sling is supplied for use with the hoist. The Ibis can be also be wall mounted for use in houses and caravans.

FEATURES
Method of Use
1. Place hoist lift unit on mounting pins.
2. Place boom to mounting pin.
3. Place spreader bar to mounting pin.
4. Fit sling to occupant.
5. Fit sling buckles side and central attachment points.
6. Depressing upper button on controller unit raises occupant.
7. Occupant assists self, or is assisted by carer, to move laterally between wheelchair and car seat.
8. Depressing lower button on controller unit lowers occupant into desired position.

Operation
Lift is powered by a 12 Volt motor, and can be connected to a 12 Volt car battery or to mains power via a 12 Volt/240 transformer.
Lift is connected to car battery by a push-in jack attachment located under the dashboard.
Operation is by a small hand-held control with push buttons for raising and lowering the occupant.
A magnet on the back of the control allows it to be attached to the hoist when both the carer"s hands need to be free.
The sideways movement in and out of the car is done manually by the carer

Installation
The hoist attachment bracket is mounted under the dash, close to the door wall post.
The hoist unit, lift arm, and spreader bar can be lifted off its mounting post when not in use and dis-assemble for transporting.
The lift arm of the hoist is available in a range of lengths to accommodate variations in door aperture and height between car models.

Indoor use
A console is fixed onto the wall where the lift is to be used.
The lift holder on the wall console can be adjusted to different height.
Extensions are available to make it possible for the lift arm to cover a wider area.

12 month warranty on all parts.



CONSIDERATIONS FOR USE
On removing the mounting plate and post, no visible traces are normally seen, which is an advantage when the car is re-sold.
