SHORT DESCRIPTION
An English made range of electrically operated seated stairlifts that provide access to stairs for people who are unable to access them on foot. Suitable for internal use, there are two models available (based on different upholstery option) that are suitable for straight and curved staircases. The seat consists of a padded backrest, height adjustable armrests and may be folded when not in use. A seat belt is available as an option. The rail is attached to the stairs by a mounting that can be placed on existing carpet with structural alterations or wall fittings not required. Operated by a push button on a remote control or by toggle switch on the arm of chair which may be used as a key to lock the stairlift. A range of upholstery is available including leather, vinyl and woven fabric subject to model selected.

Method of Use
The person transfers onto the seat, places feet are on the platform, switches the unit on and operates the controls located on the end of arm of chair.
The user may need to use the swivel mechanism located beneath the seat
To unlock the key, turn the switch 90 degrees to fit into the aperture.
The chair stops when control button is released, chair folds up and stands against the wall when not in use.

Obstacle sensor located in the edge of the footrest which houses 5 sensors.
Key can be taken off to immobilise stairlift.

Installation
Installation is done by supplier.

Safety/Maintenance
Stops automatically if it senses any obstructions.
Battery backup in case of power failure.
Can be operated by hand in the event of power failure.

A key can be used to lock the Stairlift so it is not used inappropriately.
Requires 1 or 2 services per year.
