Factors to Consider

Jay cushions are designed to fit the individual dimensions of the user. Sunrise Medical are able to add foam rails to their Jay range of cushions to extend seat width or depth. This may assist if the dimensions of the user and the wheelchair vary. This can be completed at no additional cost at time of ordering.
The pressure reducing effectiveness of this cushion may be affected if the user does not sit in a symmetrical position.
The cover has a slip resistant base to reduce movement of the cushion during transfers and while changing position in the wheelchair.
The supplier states this cushion is suitable for users at medium to high risk of developing pressure ulcers.
Short Description
The Jay Easy cushion consists of a foam base with a fluid resistant coating, and a fluid filled pad positioned in a well at the rear of the cushion. The manufacturer states that it is designed for the user with mild positioning needs and moderate to high skin protection needs. The fluid filled pad is divided into three sections to prevent side-to-side movement of the fluid. The cushion is available with a curved base for use in slung upholstery or a flat base for use with a seat pan. A range of sizes and a choice of cushion covers are available.
