Roho Harmony Cushion

Factors to Consider
There are many things to consider when selecting pressure care products including nutrition, skin moisture, level of mobility, age, shear, friction, location of pressure ulcer (if present) and hygiene. Any comments regarding level of pressure care is a suggestion made by suppliers as a guide to assist with selection, and this may differ from brand to brand. When selecting pressure care products it is strongly advised that a comprehensive assessment is undertaken by a health professional to encourage correct product selection and monitoring of product effectiveness.
The air cells aim to reduce friction and shear.
All cushions must be monitored to prevent bottoming out. This occurs when the weight of the occupant bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts of the body are pressed against the surface below the cushion. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (such as correct inflation level), a different product may need to be considered.
Ensure that the item is not accidentally placed upside down or back to front.
This lightweight cushion may help keep the overall weight of a wheelchair down.
This cushion can provide some contour to allow more stability in sitting for the occupant.

Short Description
A lightweight cushion combining a pad with a number of interconected air cells, with a contoured foam base, encased within a fluid resistant cover. A range of adult sizes are available. The base consists of countoured foam with support to the sides, ramping at the front and a leg abductor. Above this sits a removable, dry floatation pad with air cells. The pad has a single valve to allow the inflation level of the cells to be adjusted using a hand held pump.

Price Guide
Refer to supplier details for pricing.

More Details
Materials
The base is made from a firm, high density, polyurethane foam which is contoured.
The dry floatation pad is made from PVC. It has a number of various sized air cells which are interconnected and adjustable using a single valve. The pad is able to conform to the shape of the base underneath.

Cover
Removable cover using a rear zip.
Two compartments are within this cushion to hold the foam base and the pad in place.
Fluid resistant and machine washable.
Fire resistant.
Slip resistant base.
Hook and loop (Velcro) is also attached to the base.
Two way stretch top.
Black in colour.

Adjustment
The inflation level of the cells can be adjusted using a valve to the side, and a pump. The cushion is designed to allow some immersion into the pad without bottoming out, so the inflation level needs to be monitored.
