SHORT DESCRIPTION
Double amputee conversion kit that will fit onto the Vector lightweight and standard manual wheelchairs. The kit consists of two right angled brackets (one for each wheel), which are secured to the chair behind the standard axle positions for the rear wheels. This extends the wheelbase and makes the chair less likely to tip backwards. The kit also includes brake extensions.

FEATURES
Drive wheels
Pneumatic or solid rubber tyres.
Quick release axles are optional.

Brakes
Lever style brakes, pull backwards to engage.
Position of brakes must be adjusted in relation to the altered position of the rear wheels.

Attachment of Kit
One point of the bracket slides onto the tipping levers at the rear of the wheelchair.
The rear wheels are taken out of their usual axle position and another section of the bracket is bolted securely into this free axle position.
Once this bracket is in place it creates another axle position further back from the original position, into which the rear wheels can be placed.

CONSIDERATIONS FOR USE
Converts Vector manual wheelchair to double amputee chair. This can increase the length of the wheelchair and reduce its rear tippiness.
Wheelchair can be converted back at a later date.
