SHORT DESCRIPTION
Three wheeled mobility aid comprising a low plywood platform supported on a tubular steel frame. Dimensions vary depending on individual needs and can be made user sizes ranging from a small child to a large adult. It has two BMX type side wheels and a single polyurethane foam rear wheel. A pull bar is attached to the front and a moulded seat minus legs can be attached to the platform.

FEATURES
This mobility aid was developed by the Centre for Appropriate Technology in Alice Springs to meet the needs of local people and to provide a low maintenance aid with minimal removable parts,that would cope with rough and sandy terrain.

This item should be trialled in the user"s own environment to ensure maximum safety and independence. Environmental considerations include eg: kerbs, footpaths, tram and railway crossings, street crossings, etc.

Can be constructed to individual needs.
Suitable for user who is more comfortable sitting for long periods.
Suitable for rough and sandy terrain as self mobility is limited, requires attendant.
