SHORT DESCRIPTION
This stool for children features a saddle shaped seat on a height adjustable gas stem support. The base consists of round plyboard with a carpeted finish in grey or black. This provides more support to the lower limbs than the traditional five star base if the feet tend to become caught. The plyboard base is mounted on castors. The seat is upholstered in either vinyl or wool in a range of colours.

FEATURES
Castor Options
Standard castors which have twin wheels and a hood cover. Available in a standard or larger 60mm diameter size. This castor is designed for carpeted or concrete floor surfaces.
Soft castors which are free rolling when weight is applied, and provides some resistance when weight is lifted. These castors are designed not to scratch floor surfaces and are for timber, tiled or vinyl floor surfaces.
Braking or friction castors. These castors are free rolling when weight is applied, and locking when weight is removed, such as during transfers out of the chair.
Reverse friction castors are free rolling when weight is removed and locking when weight is applied.
Locking castors with a twin wheel locking mechanism which can be operated by the foot. The lock is activated when the lever on the front hood is lifted. It is designed for carpeted surfaces.
Pull apart castors can be dismantled for cleaning purposes. They feature a twin wheel and hood cover design. These castors are suitable for vinyl, concrete and carpet floor surfaces.
Glide castors which have a bell shape with flat base. To move the seat it can be tilted as the castors rotate from the rim area. This type is suitable for carpet and vinyl floor surfaces.
Gas Stem Options
A fixed non swivel gas stem is available. This one provides the lowest overall height.
A low gas stem of 80mm is available in swivel and non swivel versions.

CONSIDERATIONS FOR USE
The plyboard base restricts access to the floor when seated on the stool which may prevent the child from pushing the stool along with their feet.
