Main Picture

SHORT DESCRIPTION
A mobile electrically operated bed with a powder coated steel frame and lockable castors. It is adjustable in height, backrest angle and has a knee break. A manually operated or electrically operated leg raise mechanism is optional. This bed has a footboard and headboard as standard. Four mattress retainers are on the sheet metal mattress base. Available in single size only. Beds can be customised.

FEATURES
Frame
� Powder coated steel sheet metal platform.
Two head end corner buffers.

Headboard and Footboard
Made from melamine as standard, but other options are available.

Adjustments
� Adjustable height, backrest angle and knee break.
Leg rest raise (bed frame bends at knee area and the foot end of the bed remains elevated).
� Knee break (bed frame bends at knee area and the foot end of bed remains low).

Controls
� Electrically operated hand held controls.

Mattress
� Purchase separately from supplier.

Castors
� 125mm red lever pedal brake on each castor at foot end, both steering castors at head end have a green lever pedal to lock into straight steering.

Bed Rails
� Metal rails with bars running horizontally, and a fold down mechanism with rails running vertically (optional).

Power Source
� Mains electricity with optional battery backup.

Motor
� Centrally located under platform.

Customised Features
� Customising can include increased width, or strengthening frame to take up to 300kg.

CONSIDERATIONS FOR USE
� May be suitable for bariatric use up to the specified load capacity, and may be modified for a higher load capacity.
Careful consideration needs to be taken if choosing a bed rail or bed stick. They may increase the risk of injury to the occupant in several ways. Entrapment of limbs or body parts may occur within the rails, or between the rails or stick and the bed. This may happen to those having a seizure, or rolling over in bed, or if unstable while transferring out of bed. Injury may also occur by an occupant falling onto a bed stick.
