Opticare Eye Drop Dispenser

Factors to Consider
The guide may steady users with a tremor or poor coordination.
May prevent the user from poking their eye with the bottle nozzle as the guide holds the nozzle a distance from the eye.


Short Description
A plastic device that assists in the administering of eye drops. The eye drop bottle sits within the plastic casing with the squeeze levers located over the bottle body. The top section is an open basin that sits over the eye and removes the need for precision placement of the eye drops. Suitable for most plastic eye drop bottles including oval shaped ones.

Purpose
To hold the Eye Drop medicine bottle.

Function
To stabilise the bottle so the liquid drops accurately into eye.

Method Of Use
Stand Opticare upright and hinge back eyepiece.
Remove bottle cap and close eyepiece.
Sit in a chair, tilt head well back and place Opticare over centre of eye.
Use finger to pull down lower eyelid.
Place Opticare over centre of eye and squeeze Opticare gently.
Open eyepiece and replace cap.

Assembly
If bottle is new, loosen cap to break seal and re-tighten moderately.
Use thumb guides to pull open Opticare body.
Firmly clip in bottle so it is gripped at point where neck and shoulders meet. Close Opticare.
