More Details
Other Features
Frame
The frame is made of aluminium.
The frame is height adjustable to alter the seat height position

Headrest
The headrest is mounted onto the rear of the backrest.
It is adjustable in height, a forwards and backwards direction, and to the left or right.

Seat
The seat component consists of a one piece seat and backrest shell which is made of plastic.
It features slots in which the harness is placed. Two positions are available for placement of the harness above the shoulder region.
The user may sit directly on the seat or alternatively use a foam liner which is available as an option.
The seat is able to be placed in four positions, including upright and tilt in which the seat and backrest recline as one unit. The seat position is altered by a spring loaded pin on one side of the frame and placing it into one of the four slots available. Once the position is selected, it can be secured further by a locking hand wheel on the other side of the frame which will screw into the corresponding slot.

Foam Liner
A foam liner can be placed in the seat to provide a softer surface.
Two sizes of foam liner are available for each size of frame, which also reduces the dimensions of the seat size, therefore will accommodate some variation in size of the user.
Slots for placement of the harness are also featured on the foam liners.
The two sizes available with the small frame are the Mini (smallest) and the Midi.
The two sizes available with the large frame are the Maxi and the Super Maxi.

Harness
The harness is secured at four points on the seat (above each shoulder and each side of the pelvis).
The length of the straps are adjustable and the harness secures together by a buckle.

Footrest
The Seahorse Sanichair features a one piece footrest.
The footrest is height adjustable.
Four length adjustable straps are featured on the footrest to assist in positioning the feet.

Pommel
The pommel assists in providing some leg abduction and also functions as a splash guard.
The pommel is removable and slots onto the front of the seat by first hooking the flange at the rear of the pommel onto the front of the commode aperture. Hinge the pommel downwards so the front flange of the pommel clips over the ridged detail on the front of the seat.

Potty
The potty is placed onto the commode from behind the chair. It slots into two grooves positioned under the seat and locks into place by a latch which fits into a groove at the rear of the potty.
The potty features a handle to assist with carrying.

Castors
120mm diameter castors.
Each castor features a push down brake mechanism.
