Short Description
Writing with Symbols is a software program that provides an integrated word and graphics processor. Graphics lists and word lists can be edited. There are four parts to the program 1) a talking symbol processor, 2) a talking word processor, 3) a grid maker and 4) a grid writer. The program allow for multiple access methods.

FUNCTIONS
Talking Symbol Processor
Use graphics to support writing. As a person types the words are automatically illustrated. Includes 4000 PCS symbols and 5500 Rebus symbols.
Talking Word Processor
Variety of speech voices and a pictorial spell checker provide language support. The range of voices can be applied to a document like a font to text, this allows different parts of the document being spoken in different voices.
Grid Maker
Used to make activities and work sheets, communication books and printed overlays for communication aids.
Grid Writer
Click on an onscreen grid instead of typing some or all of your writing, with switch options included.
ACCESS
Keyboard, mouse or switch. Scanning options such as speed and style of scanning can be adjusted.

Complete
A software package that creates documents for the user to 'Complete', by filling in known responses or by writing freely in a structured document. Works with Writing With Symbols.
