Ergonomic Optical Mouse

Short Description
An optical mouse with an upright grip designed for right handed use. The user holds onto the mouse like a joystick. However, the whole mouse is moved on the desk, not just the 'stick'. There is a thumb rest on top of the upright grip. The side of the right hand rests on a contoured base while the fingers wrap around the grip. Available in two sizes: small and medium/large.

System Requirements
Windows
All operating systems including Vista.
USB or PS/2, plug and play.
Includes software for programming buttons.

Mac

Must have a USB port, buttons are not programmable with Mac.

Price Guide
Refer to supplier details for pricing.

More Details
The mouse buttons are located on the thumb rest and along the front of the grip (where the fingers rest). The thumb rest button rocks left and right to perform left and right clicks.

When used with a PC, the button along the front of the grip activates scrolling. When pressed once, the user can scroll up and down a page by moving the mouse forwards and backwards on the desk. A second press turns this feature off.

Method of Use
Hold onto the grip with your right hand: place right thumb on top of grip and wrap fingers around the grip.
Rest the side of your hand on the base.
Move your arm from the shoulder and elbow to move the mouse.
It may be beneficial to support your forearm on the desktop: this may require adjustment of your workstation.
