Short Description

Price Guide
Refer to supplier details for pricing.

More Details
The Voice Switch consists of the following components:
* A microphone
* A power pack
* The Voice Switch Unit
The voice switch is normally powered from a 240/9 volt power pack but also includes a rechargeable battery to power the alarm in case of a power failure. If during an extended power fail situation, the standby battery starts to go flat, an inbuilt battery voltage monitor that continually checks on the state of the battery voltage will initiate an audible alarm in the voice switch.
If required, the voice switch can be powered from an power wheelchair battery.
The voice switch has an adjustable sensitivity control and is generally impervious to peak noises, such as handclaps and door slams.

Installation
To install the system, the supplied microphone is located in such a position that the person using the voice switch alarm can call out and the microphone will pick up the person's voice. The voice has to be sustained for a few seconds and when the alarm is activated, an audible indication is given from the voice switch.
