Short Description
Different parking concessions are available depending on whether the user has permanent or temporary disability.

For eligible people who have permanent disability, this permit will allow parking in designated parking zones . It also allows an extra free 90 minutes of parking after the maximum period has been paid for at parking meters or an additional 90 minutes in other parking areas.

For eligible people who have a temporary disability , a short term parking permit may be issued for a period of up to 12 months, by the Launceston City Council.

People with permanent disability: To apply, a "Transport Access Scheme" application form must be completed by the applicant and by a qualified medical or health practitioner. Application forms can be obtained from Service Tasmania , or from the Independent Living Centre-Tasmania.

People with temporary disability:An application form needs to be completed by the applicant and also by a qualified health care professional. Forms are available from the Launceston City Council, or from the Independent Living Centre.
