Short Description
The portable unit is a trolley style attachment which fits onto the base of a vertical lifting platform in order for it to be rolled up to a stage or low rise barrier to make it temporarily wheelchair accessible. It is designed to be used with porch lift models PL-S 36, PL-S 50 and PL-S 72.

The portable unit is constructed of steel and consists of two attachments; the front wheel apparatus is comprised of a bar with two castors attached at each end, while the rear wheel apparatus consists of a bar with castors at each end and an adjoining handle bar. These attachments fit to the left and right sides of the base of the S Model porch lifts with 8 locking pins, thereby making them mobile in order to make an area temporarily wheelchair accessible. A steel installation lever is used to raise and lower the lift when installing and removing the wheel apparatus.
The S Model porch lifts are constructed of powder coated steel and are available in electric or hydraulic models. They can be customised to blend with existing interiors and exteriors and are available with a selection of door and gate options. They feature a front automatic access ramp / guard panel and a platform gate on the opposite side which forms the top landing when lowered. All platform and access ramps have slip resistant surfaces.

SAFETY FEATURES include 8 lockable pins which securely attach the wheel apparatus to the base of the porch lift.
CASTORS are 130mm (5") in diameter with foot operated locks.
VERTICAL LIFTING CAPABILITIES up to 1830mm (72").
S MODEL PORCH LIFT FEATURES:
CONTROLS are key activated call / send controls at the top and bottom landings with constant pressure directional push buttons. Optional emergency stop button.
POWER SOURCE is a mains power point, with automatically recharging battery backup.
DRIVE SYSTEMS available include (1) recirculating ball and screw with 110V electric operation or (2) 1:2 roped hydraulic with full time 24V battery operation with charger.
SAFETY FEATURES include security key locks to prevent unwanted use; an obstruction sensor mounted on the platform underpanel; self closing gates; electromechanical interlocks which allow platform movement only when gates are closed and locked; a grab rail on the platform; and an optional emergency stop button and audio alarm which can be activated to summon assistance.
DISMANTLING / FOLDING The portable unit can be detached from the lift and stored when not in use.
