Afikim Breeze Three Wheeled Scooter

Short Description
Rear wheel drive, two speed scooter with three wheels. Front and rear suspension and finger controls which can be operated with one hand. The controls are similar to those on motor bikes. The tiller section rotates when maneuvering while the basket and light remain fixed to the main frame. There are front and rear lights, indicators and upholstered, vinyl, adjustable height seat.

Features
FRAME - Features front and rear suspension.

SEAT - Has vinyl upholstery and is height adjustable. Has a swivel and slide mechanism. Slide lever is located under the right hand side of the seat, while the swivel is activated by lifting the lever located under the centre of the seat. Available in one seat width only.

BACKREST - The backrest is vinyl covered and reclines by lifting the lever located on the left hand side.

ARMRESTS - The armrests are desk length, padded, lift-up and have vinyl upholstery.

WHEELS - Are pneumatic, rubber, wide profile. The front wheel has a diameter of 400mm. The two rear wheels have diameter of 420mm.

CONTROLS - This scooter has a switch to change from forward to reverse. It is located on the right hand side steering handle. Once selected, acceleration and reverse are controlled by squeezing a motor bike like handle. A similar handle on the left side of the steering column operates the hand brake.

The control panel features display lights that indicate battery charge, lights on/ off, indicators, hazard lights, and full or half speed. The lights, hazard lights and indicators are located on the left steering handle. To disengage the indicators, move the lever half way to the opposite indicator side. To free wheel the scooter when it is turned on, press the lever located on the top of the right hand side steering handle.

BATTERIES - Two 12 volt 60 OR 70 Ah. Battery charging is achieved by connecting the off board battery to the charging point located on the side of the tiller.

MOTOR - When the scooter is not turned on, the lever located under the right hand rear wheel cowling is used to disengage the motor.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
Registration and a wheelchair licence is required in Tasmania for use of powered wheelchairs and scooter on both public roads and footpaths if the powered wheelchair or scooter is capable of exceeding 10 km/h. For further information contact the Independent Living Centre. Refer to Service Tasmania for licence application.

Maintenance
All scooters require regular maintenance. Refer to User Manual for specific details.
