Short Description
A compact, lightweight, folding, powered, rear wheel drive wheelchair which has motors attached to each of the rear wheels. The chair is available in three sizes and with various options. The Esprit is designed to fit into a compact size car boot and may be suitable for airline travel. Only one model available.

Features
FRAME - folding, lightweight, aluminium, single cross member frame and is only available in silver. Rear anti tip wheels.
UPHOLSTERY is synthetic (nylon) upholstery with foam padding.
SEAT features a slung seat and backrest. The wheelchair seat width comes in three sizes.
BACKREST folds down for transportation.
ARMRESTS lift up are height adjustable and removable. The armrests are desk top style.
FOOTPLATES are swing away and adjustable in height.
CONTROLS - the wheelchair is operated via a joystick control and can be attendant operated. There is a speed dial and an LED display to indicate battery charge or faults in the system. It is fully programmable with in built programming.
BATTERIES are sealed. They are stored in a battery bag with a hook and loop fastener on a frame suspended under the front of the seat.
BATTERY CHARGING is achieved by connecting the charger provided to a mains power point and plugging it into the chair at the marked charging terminal on the underside of the seat.
REAR WHEELS are 316mm diameter, wide tread and pneumatic. Quick snap connectors on the wheel hubs allow fast disassembly without the use of tools. Freewheeling mechanism is operated by a pull out and twist action on rear wheel hubs.
FRONT WHEELS are 203mm diameter and are pneumatic.
BRAKES are electromagnetic with manual parking brakes also fitted.
TRANSPORTING - The chair dismantles by removing the battery pack, rear wheels and legrests.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
Registration and a wheelchair licence is required in Tasmania for use of powered wheelchairs and scooter on both public roads and footpaths if the powered wheelchair or scooter is capable of exceeding 10 km/h.
