In appearance, a normal cushion with a small release handle on the side. The cushion is built around an internal steel frame and patented spring mechanism. It is thickly padded, and can be upholstered in the material of choice. The cushion is portable and can be made to specified depth if required. Fits any chair.
To open: Sit on cushion, raise lever gently about 50mm (force is not necessary) and release hand. Seat will rise gently. A simple locking device prevents any release of the spring until user is ready to stand up.
To close: Sit on cushion, or use hand pressure until down. Gently drop lever to level position.
