Short Description
A compression stocking applicator for the arm or leg. It consists of a triangular shaped, durable paper-like material with a central extended pull tab and eyelet holes on the sides for threading the lacing pin. Can also be used with pantyhose.

May be useful for people with generalised weakness in upper limbs. Requires the use of two hands and for user to be able to reach their feet.
Method of Use
1. Fold the Eureka double so the holes on both sides match.
2. Take the plastic lacing pin by the point at the end in one hand and hold the Eureka in the other. Connect both sides by threading the lacing pin through the holes. Start with the wide section.
3. Put the pin securely in the small pocket at the end. The Eureka is now ready for use.
4. Place the Eureka over the foot with the pin side under the sole, until the Eureka stops at the instep. Do not try to pull too far. The tab should be over the upper foot surface.
5. Pull the stocking over the Eureka.
6. Remove the lacing pin from the Eureka when the heel of the stocking is in the correct position and the remaining part of the stocking is at ankle height.
7. Pull the light blue tab at the front of the aid to remove the Eureka from the stocking. Pull stocking up into position. Ensure stocking is spread evenly over leg.
8. For pantyhose, repeat above instructions for the second leg.

Additional Comment
Wearing a pair of rubber gloves may enable a better grip on the stocking when positioning on leg. Used in Lymphoedema clinics.
