More Details
The high sided, deep bucket seat and the backrest are hinged allowing the backrest to recline at the same angle as the seat. The entire seat can be tilted by inserting an optional wedge under the base. The seat cover is removable and washable. The headrest is height adjustable.

Additional support pads such as a head support pad and lateral supports can be used in the seat. The padded five-point anterior pad/chest harness has locking buckles and is height adjustable.

A detachable section at the front of the seat supports the legs. This can be replaced by an optional height adjustable footrest if foot support is required.

Options

extended/straight available in 50mm and 100mm depth sizes

- growth pad insert (seat depth extension) - to be used when user sits with
knees flexed/bent

- seat recline wedge - can be positioned under the seat base to tilt the
entire seat back

- triangle mat - gives greater hip flexion

- cushioned table - removable, supports forearms

- indoor mobility base with adjustable backrest recline

Method Of Use
The Carrot Car Seat must be adjusted properly to the child's size. Failure to do so will mean the child may be unstable and unsafe.

Adjusting the backrest
- The shoulder straps must be adjusted to the correct height for the child to travel in a safe and comfortable posture.
- To adjust the straps, temporarily place the seat onto the vehicle seat and place the child in it.
- Check the height of the shoulder straps and adjust if necessary, ensuring all knobs and straps are secure.
- To adjust the backrest extension, unwind the two knobs that secure the backrest height, then slide the backrest upwards to the correct height and ensure the knobs are located into the adjustment grooves.

Adjusting the seat depth
- As the child grows, it is important to adjust the seat depth to ensure the child's hips and thighs are supported.
- To adjust, unwind the adjustment knobs underneath the seat base and slide the front edge forward.
- Insert the extra depth spacer infill and tighten the knobs

Crotch strap adjustment
- Adjusting the crotch strap either raises or lowers the chest/sternum pad.
- To adjust, unthread the webbing through the metal tri-guide.
- Adjust to the desired height.
- Re-thread the webbing ensuring it is correctly locked off.
- Care is required when adjusting the crotch strap - if it is set too high it could obstruct the child's neck and cause suffocation.

Installation into a vehicle
- Place the Carrot Car Seat onto the vehicle seat and pass the attaching straps around the vehicle seat.
- Pass the straps through the D rings.
- Pass the straps back between the D rings and pull to tension until secure.
- If the Carrot Car Seat is being used on a bench seat, attach the straps diagonally around the seat.

Seating the child
- Push the red release button and pull through the shoulder straps (this makes it easier to seat the child).
- Place the child into the car seat ensuring that their bottom is right back into the seat, then engage the buckle.
- Pull the tension adjuster until the chest pad supports the child securely.
- Pass the vehicle safety belt through the red belt guides and engage the buckle.
- Ensure that the harness and safety belt is fitted correctly making sure that there are no twists in the webbing.
