The ceiling/wall mounted light has two built-in batteries that are charged continously via the mains. In the event of power failure the light remains illuminated for approximately one hour. The illumination of the light is equivalent to a 25 watt light globe.
The light has a red LED which indicates the batteries are being charged and confirms the circuit continuity with the lamp. The battery automatically recharges when the mains power is restored.
