The escape hinge set consists of two specially designed hinges which have an escape sleeve, and an escape handle. The hinges act as standard fixed pin hinges when the door is being operated normally. In an emergency the escape sleeve slips off the hinge allowing the door to be opened outwards.
The escape handle remains in the fold away position against the door while the door is being operated normally. In emergencies the handle allows the door to be removed quickly.
