Short Description
These anti-scald devices are designed to cut water flow to the outlet when water temperature becomes hotter than 46 degrees celsius. They can only be used with mixer taps.

Price Guide
Refer to supplier information for pricing details.

More Details
Anti-scald valves are available for the shower, bath and sink mixing spout outlets. They screw into the existing plumbing fixtures, can be installed by the homeowner, and are available in a range of finishes.

These valves have a shape memory, metal alloy insert which expands rapidly at water temperatures above 46 degrees celsius (+-3 degrees). This reduces the flow of water to a trickle. The valve can be reset by allowing cold water to flow through before adding the hot water.

Cold water must always be turned on before the hot water to avoid activating the valve.
